Alice B. Scott was born on February 28, 1922 in Heppner, Oregon to parents, Charles and Amelia Renoe Phillips. She died on February 15, 2021 at home in Irrigon, Oregon at the age of 98 years. Alice was raised and attended schools in Heppner and Ione, Oregon. She was a homemaker for several years before working as a checker at Central Market in Heppner, Oregon until retiring and moving to Umatilla, Oregon. She then moved to Irrigon, Oregon in 1996 where she has lived since. Alice spent winters snowbirding in Arizona and Southern California for many years. She had served as a Campfire Leader and had been a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Alice enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, playing pinnacle, reading and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters: Joyce Priest, Hermiston, OR, Janet Munger, Umatilla, OR, Jean Schmig (Les), Vida, OR and Jenel VanCleave (Audie Booker), Irrigon, OR; sister: Jennette Powers, Joseph, OR; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband; 3 brothers: Douglas, Phillip and George; sisters: Lucille and Helen; grandson: Wesley Priest; sons-in-law: Sid Priest and Ken Munger.
A private family burial will be held at Olney Cemetery, Pendleton, Oregon.
