Aleen Marie Deschamps of Ridgefield, Washington was born August 3, 1937 in Emmett, Idaho the fourth child and the first daughter of twelve children born to Morris and Beulah (Pulley) Browning. She passed away in Clackamas, Oregon on September 26, 2024 at the age of 87 years.
Aleen moved to Hermiston, Oregon with her family in the early 1940's where she grew up and attended school. She met William Deschamps while at a dance at the Umatilla Army Depot and the couple were united in marriage on July 3, 1954 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
Aleen and William traveled around the Pacific Northwest following his heavy highway construction work for many years. They settled in Ridgefield, WA in 1968 where she has lived until her passing. Aleen stayed at home to raise her children and tend to the needs of the household. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed her relationships with her parents and her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; two daughters, Cathy Renee Deschamps and Michelle Marie Deschamps; her son, William Calen Deschamps; brothers, Derald, Keith, Howard and Larry Browning.
She is survived by a son, Doug Deschamps; daughter, Tonya Mertens; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four brothers, Dallas Browning, Gary Browning, Tommie Browning and Randal Browning; three sisters, Dorothy Melby, Joan Tidyman and Debra Rosenberg; and many extended family members.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday October 5, 2024 at the Hermiston Cemetery. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
Family suggest memorial donations be made in her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
