William “Bill” Edward Lamb of Hermiston was born December 5, 1928 in Taos, New Mexico the son of Walter and Nettie (Collier) Lamb. He passed away in Hermiston, Oregon on October 25, 2018 at the age of 89.
Bill grew up and attended school in Taos, NM. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he lived near Connell, WA for several years before moving to the Eugene, Oregon. He lived in the community of Veneta (outside of Eugene) for over fifty years. He owned and operated a bowling alley, a stationery business in Creswell and a small tree farm for many years. He has lived in Hermiston, Oregon for the past year.
Bill enjoyed bowling, dancing, traveling and was a member of an RV Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Linda; son, Scott; granddaughters, Joanna, Jackie, Sandra, Jennifer, Kimberly, Carrie and Cynthia; one grandson, James; and many great grandchildren and distant family members.
A Celebration of life with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 4, 2018 at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center (1705 E. Airport Rd. Hermiston, Oregon 97838. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of final arrangements.
