Wayne Roy Van Hollebeke was born November 26, 1971 in Kennewick, Washington the son of Roy and Mary Lou (Cory) Van Hollebeke. He passed away at his home in Umatilla, Oregon on April 26, 2018.
Wayne lived in the Tri Cities during his early childhood until moving to Anchorage, Alaska in the early 1980's. He graduated from Anchorage High School in the Class of 1989. After high school, he traveled extensively and lived in many locations. He continued his education at a school in Denver, Colorado where he received his ASC diesel mechanic certification. He has lived in Umatilla, Oregon and enjoyed his work as a millwright at Lamb Weston in Boardman for the past five years.
Wayne was an avid motorcycle enthusiast (especially Harley Davidson’s) who loved to ride work on and build them. He was an excellent mechanic who could repair most anything he put his mind to.
He is survived by his father, Roy Van Hollebeke; mother, Judy Grimes; fiancé,, Becky Leaf; sister, Earlene Berry; brothers, Mark Lee Van Hollebeke, Brian Pereault and Eric Pereault; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later time.
