Virginia Marie (Bellis) Miller

Virginia Bellis Miller of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on April 28, 1925 in Waterloo, Iowa to parents, Vern and Mamie Nehlsen Bellis. She died on September 16, 2018 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 93 years. She was raised and attended school in the Waterloo, Iowa area. Virginia was united in marriage to Harold C. Miller on October 27, 1946 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They lived in Charles City, Iowa before moving to Laramie, Wyoming in the late 1950's where they owned and operated a jewelry store. In 1964 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona and then to Hermiston, Oregon in the early 1980's where she has lived since. Virginia was a member of the Lutheran Church, Red Hat Society and the Sundial Stitcher’s while living in Arizona. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, music, playing the organ, gardening, going on walks, decorating for holidays and her Dachshund Dogs.

She is survived by her sons: Charles “Chuck” Miller & his wife Bonnie, Douglas “Doug” Miller & his wife Cindie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Harold C. Miller, her parents, a sister: Doris and brothers: Bob and Jack.        

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
