Robert W. “Bob” Willard passed peacefully on July 4, 2018 at his residence at Guardian Angel Homes in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 91 years. Bob was as born on September 1, 1926 in Wamic, Oregon to William and Ivy Willard.
He attended school in Wallula, Washington and joined the United States Navy during WWII and was stationed onboard the USS Fergus. After his honorable discharge from the Navy he was hired at the Umatilla Army Depot as an electrician where he spent his whole career, retiring in 1983.
Bob was an avid archer and enjoyed archery competitions and hunting with a bow. Probably his most prized possession was a hand-crafted wooden bow, which was proudly displayed on the wall of his room at Guardian Angel. He was also ready for a game of cribbage anytime he could find someone who could play.
He was preceded in death by Agnes, his wife of 48 years, in 2009.
Bob is survived by Linda McCoy, his step-daughter; Terry McCoy, his son-in-law; and Tana McCoy, his granddaughter.
