Marianne Neyman of Hermiston was born October 25, 1937 in Lewiston, ID, the daughter of Oliver and Marion (Robinson) Henry. She passed away in Richland, WA on October 22, 2018 at the age of 80.
Marianne grew up on the Nez Perece Indian Reservation in Lapwai, ID where she attended her early schooling. After high school, she attended the College at Mt. Angel where she received her Bachelors degree in Education. She married Martin E. Neyman in Wrangell, Alaska on May 21, 1960.
Marianne moved, with her family,to Hermiston, OR in 1963 where she has resided for the past fifty-five years. She was employed by the Herniston School District as an elementary teacher including Art and Indian Education programs K-5th grades until retiring in 1994.
Marianne was a lifetime active member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling with Martin to visit their families and especially their children and grandchildren and spending time at their beach house in Rockaway Beach. Her family and her faith were extremely important to her.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Martin; children, Maurice (Rose) Neyman of Portland OR, Marty (Lisa) Neyman of Bremerton, WA, Michael (Judy) Neyman of Bellwood PA, Mark (Tina) Neyman of Las Vegas, NV, Melissa Neyman of Las Vegas, NV, Matthew (Renee) of St. Louis, MO; twelve grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Henry, Rudy Henry, and Lawrence Henry; sisters, Susan Carlin, Jennifer Williams, Elizabeth Henry, and Stephanie Arthur; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 26, from Noon to 1:00pm at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston, OR. Recitation of the Rosary will then follow at 1:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 1:30pm also at the Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery. The Catholic Daughters will host a meal at the Parish Hall following the burial. All friends and family are invited.
