M. Jeanne (Brewster) King

M. Jeanne King was born on October 1, 1936 in Virginia City, Nevada to parents, Claude and Ora May Sinnott Brewster. She died on May 27, 2018 at her home in Boardman, Oregon at the age of 81 years. Jeanne was raised and attended school in Coquille, Oregon, graduating in 1955. She was united in marriage to Neil King on January 1, 1955 in Myrtle Point, Oregon. They lived on the Southern Oregon coast until moving to Portland, Oregon in 1966. They later settled in Boardman, Oregon in 1970 where they have called home since. She spent most of the years as a stay at home Mom, grandma and great grandma, although she did worked at the C&D restaurant for a time. She was a  member of New Hope Community Church. Jeanne enjoyed crafting, flowers, her chickens, traveling and cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   

She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Neil King, Boardman, OR; daughters: Martha Leader & her husband Butch, Milwaukie, OR, Cynthia Whitney & her husband Stephen, Wenatchee, WA, and Leora Svatonsky & her husband Alan, Irrigon, OR; sister: Mary Jane Herold, Coos Bay, OR; grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Dustin (Nikki), Corey, Ben (Jessica), Rachel (Brad), Timothy (Laura), Daniel & Ciara; 10 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her son, Randy King in 2005, her parents and a brother, James Brewster.  

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Hope Community Church, 1350 S. Hwy 395, Hermiston, Oregon.

A family burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
