Kevin L Helzer

Kevin L. Helzer of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on September 27, 1960 in Caldwell, Idaho to parents, Broyce and Nola June Kinley Helzer. He died on January 28, 2018 in Pendleton, Oregon at the age of 57 years. Kevin was raised and attended schools in Idaho, California and Umatilla, Oregon where he graduated high school in 1979. He owned and operated his own trucking business for most of his working career. Kevin enjoyed playing pool, watching football and detailing his cars and trucks. He truly cherished time with his family and had a great sense of humor. 

He is survived by his daughters: Dawn Helzer, Lacey, WA; Lindsey and Natalie Pope, both of Hermiston, OR; sisters: Margie Gibson (Dave), Salem, OR, Teresa Pivek (Roy), McMinnville, OR, Julie Thomas, Portland, OR; brothers: Dennis Helzer, Eagle Creek, OR & Chris Martin (Barb), Hermiston, OR; sister-in-law: Sharon Helzer, Hermiston, OR; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Helzer. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 3:30 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

A celebration of life gathering will follow at the Pheasant Bar & Grill Banquet Room 149 E. Main St., Hermiston, OR.
