Jimmie R. Bevan of Irrigon was born in Hermiston on August 23, 1974 the son of Jimmie Jr. and Brenda (Cobb) Bevan. He passed away on Monday July 30, 2018 in Hermiston at the age of 43.
Jimmie grew up and attended school in Echo where he excelled playing football, baseball and basketball. He then attended Blue Mountain Community College where he studied criminal justice. He worked at Two Rivers Correctional Institute in Umatilla for the past thirteen years. He began as an officer and was later promoted to a Sergeant.
Jimmie enjoyed the outdoor activities of hunting and fishing and he raised 4-H pigs for local kids. Spending time with his family was a very important part of his life.
Jimmie married Jeanette Baird at Hat Rock State Park on September 8, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Taneesha; and twin sons, Jimmie and Jeffrey; mother, Brenda Vance of Marana, AZ; brother, Curtis Bevan of Hermiston; sister, Crystal Bevan of Hermiston; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie K. Bevan, Jr.
An informal gathering of family and friends will be at 6:00 P.M. Saturday August 4, 2018 at Spillway Park below McNary Dam.
