Jared Wayne Bowling

Jared Wayne Bowling of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on May 1, 1984 in Hermiston, Oregon to parents, Barbara “Babbie” Bowling and Fernando Cervantes. He died on March 9, 2018 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 33 years. Jared was raised and attended schools in Hermiston where he participated in football, soccer and wrestling. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland, Oregon and has worked as a chef at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Oregon for the last 13 years. Jared enjoyed fishing, disc golf, golfing, swimming, concerts, attending food shows and was an avid gamer. He loved being and uncle and spending time with his niece. 

He is survived by his sister: Olivia Banda, Hermiston, OR; brothers: Mykel Banda, Portland, OR and AJ Cervantes, Hermiston, OR; father: Fernando Cervantes, Hermiston, OR; grandmother: Barbara Bowling, Hermiston, OR; a niece; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jared was preceded in death by his mother: Babbie Bowling, grandparents: Leonard Bowling, Pedro “Pete” Cervantes and Mercedes Cervantes; and uncles: Darrin Bowling and Pete “Buzz” Cervantes Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hermiston Assembly of God, 730 E. Hurlburt Ave., Hermiston, Oregon.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
