Janet Marie Miller

Janet Marie Miller was born June 6, 1947 in Washington D.C. the daughter of John and Catherine (Lloyd) Miller. She passed away on Tuesday May 22, 2018 in Hermiston, Oregon.

Janet lived in Silver Spring, Maryland for many years of her adult life. She moved West to Pendleton, Oregon in the early 1980's and has lived in the Hermiston area for the past ten years.

Janet married Gary Petranek in St. Mary’s county Maryland in 1969. From this union a daughter, Diane and a son, Michael were born. The couple later divorced.

Janet was a special lady who loved animals, was a delightful person who brought sunshine and a positive force in the room and she deeply cared about other people. She attended Desert Rose Ministries Church and enjoyed exercising and other activities at Lifeways. She loved her two children and family dearly.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Nelson; son, Michael Petranek; sister, Diane Wilroy; eight grandchildren; and her beloved partner, Cassius Winchester.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 26, 2018 at the Porter House 731 E. Main Street Hermiston, Oregon.
