James John Cragun

James J. Cragun of Echo was born September 23, 1978 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the son of Dave and Beverly (Evans) Cragun. He passed away at the age of 38 on Saturday May 27, 2017 in Hermiston.

He lived in Pocatello, Idaho throughout his childhood where he graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1996. After high school, he moved to Hermiston and has lived in Eastern Oregon since. He worked as a welder in the Hermiston and Pendleton areas through much of his career.

James enjoyed playing city league basketball and football.

He is survived by his parents; Dave and Beverly (Evans) Cragun; daughter, Braelyn Cragun; two sons, Jaden and Kaeden Cragun; and a sister, Cynthia Bailey.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday June 9, 2017 at the Burns Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Echo Cemetery. A BBQ will be held at his parents home at 131 Dale St. in Echo after the cemetery service.
