Hazel Marie (Alum) Westfall

Hazel Marie Westfall of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on February 27, 1927 in Choteau, Montana to parents, Clarence and Dorothy Culp Alum. She died on July 7, 2017 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 90 years. She was raised and attended schools in Montana. Hazel was united in marriage to Burlin Westfall on October 22, 1943 in Choteau, Montana. They lived in California, Oregon, Texas and Oklahoma before settling in Oregon in 1961 where she has lived since. Hazel was a full time homemaker, raising their 10 children. She enjoyed baking, cooking, arts & crafts, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family. Hazel was a member of the Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her daughters: Pauline Counts, Hermiston, OR, Annita Harwell - ID, Carolyn Ellit, The Dalles, OR, Charlotte Weivada, Wilsonville, OR, Delores Davidson, Dufur, OR, Dorothy Duke, Bend, OR; sons: Kenneth Westfall, John Day, OR & Gale Westfall, Portland, OR; sisters: Ruth Bullock, Columbia Falls, MT, Verna Larsen, Fairfield, MT, Sharon Larsen, Choteau, MT; brother: Frank Alum, Fairfield, MT; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son: Delbert Westfall and a daughter: Donna McCall.      

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Irrigon, Oregon.
