BEVERLY,
SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT FRANK. I NEVER MET HIM, BUT WANTED YOU TO KNOW YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. PLEASE CONTACT ME AT THE ABOVE EMAIL ADDRESS IF YOU WILL.

Frank will always be known to the Norton children and grandchildren as "my friend Frank" since that is how Bruce always referred to him. Although we live across the country in South Carolina, Bruce will miss the phone calls, the reunions and just knowing that "my friend Frank" is there.

Frankie was a cousin that was one of a kind! Because I was younger and in the generation below him, I knew him best listening to my mom, Anita, and my grandmother, Annie Harkenrider Paulsen. They told some stories about Frankie--ones of great joy, some with sadness due to losses in the family, but always with such love. As I got older I thought he was the greatest! Funny, bright, and so dedicated to his family, immediate and extended, and a true believer in "putting your money where your mouth is" as a community believer and leader. I am so glad I got to see him in May of this year. He will not be forgotten nor will his Harkenrider name and heritage.
My love to Bev, his daughters and families,
Annarae M. Arjo-Luveano

To Bev and the family, we send our prayers and hugs. Frank grew up in a house across from the street from were Otie (my brother) and I lived. Lots of great childhood memories of those growing-up kids on Gladys Ave. He was always a great friend, for ever.

Frank's passing is a deep loss, not only for his family, but for his community. Of all the icons in the pantheon of Hermiston founders and boosters, Frank has to occupy a prime position.

I'm sorry for your loss. He was so active in the community that Hermiston will certainly feel his absence. Wishing you comfort in your sorrow.

Frank was the best booster Hermiston could ever have. He was Hermiston. Frank was a warm-hearted guy who didn't know a stranger. I will never forget him. I am so sorry for your loss and the city's loss as well. It is the end of an era.
