Eva Jeanette Frost departed this life on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Sun Terrace in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 96 and is now joyfully reunited with her husband, Jim. She was born in Hardin, Montana on August 14, 1922 to parents Glen and Clara Leffler John. When she was 12 years old the family moved to La Grande, Oregon where she and her two sisters attended school and graduated from La Grande High School in 1940.
On November 10, 1940 she and James LeRoy Frost of North Powder were united in marriage in Weiser, Idaho. They spent 63 years together as true partners in creating a wonderful life for their family. The marriage was sealed in February of 2004 in the Columbia River Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They lived in La Grande and Pendleton and moved to Hermiston in 1951 with the railroad.
Her kind and gentle spirit touched many family and friends. She gladly shared homemaking skills she had developed over the years. Eva was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a member and past president of the Union Pacific Old Timers Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Watermelon Sam’s RV Club and she and Jim traveled to every state as well as parts of Canada and Mexico.

Eva was the last of her generation on both sides of the family.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Rodney LeRoy, her parents, two sisters, and husband Jim.
