Donald Roland Albert of Hermiston was born February 9, 1937 in Pendleton, Oregon the son of Roland and Irene (Case) Albert. He passed away on Friday September 28, 2018 in Walla Walla, WA at the age of 81.
Don grew up and attended school in Pendleton. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He attended Eastern Oregon State College in LaGrande after his military service. He lived in the Portland area for several years but returned to Eastern Oregon in 1973 when he moved to Hermiston. He owned and operated Quimby Trucking in Hermiston for many years.
Don was an instructor and held a blackbelt in Judo. He enjoyed hunting and target shooting. He had a deep faith in God and was involved in prison ministry for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Michelle Christy and Lori Albert; brother, Steve Albert; grandchildren, Candice, Rochelle, Faith, Elisabeth and Jeremy; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Teresa; and a sister, Kathy.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 6, 2018 in the Burns Mortuary Chapel (685 W. Hermiston Avenue Hermiston, OR 97838). Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
