Claudia E Lucas Voss

Claudia E. Lucas Voss was born on November 30, 1922 in Schulter, Oklahoma, to parents, John and Bertha Parker Ward. She died on June 19, 2017 at her home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 94 years. Claudia was raised in the South and Eastern United States. She worked supporting the War effort as Rosie the Riveter at North American Aircraft in Burbank, California. She moved to Fresno, California in the 1950's and later moved to Washington State in the 1960's working as a catering director in hospitality until 1987. Claudia settled in Hermiston, Oregon and she married James Voss on April 11, 1990 in Winnemucca, Nevada. She was active in several organizations over the years including the Eagles, Elks Emblem Club and the Grange. Claudia enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling all over the world, playing cards and dancing.

She is survived by her husband: James T. Voss, Hermiston, OR; sons: Edwin C. Hilton and Edward C. Tinnerman, both of Auburn, WA; and 6 grandchildren.

Claudia was preceded in death by her parents and a son: Richard W. Hilton.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

A celebration gathering will follow at the Hermiston Elks Lodge, 480 E. Main St., Hermiston, Oregon.
