Bonnie C (Hicks) Walls

Bonnie Walls of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on September 24, 1927 in Mountain Home, Idaho to parents Edward and Martha Hicks. She died on March 25, 2024 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 96 years. Bonnie was raised and attended school in Vale, Oregon before moving to Hermiston, Oregon where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Murtis “Murt” Walls on August 16, 1947 in Hermiston, Oregon. They started their family and Bonnie stayed home for several years with their children. Bonnie later worked at the Umatilla Army Depot for several years before working at Lamb Weston until she retired. She had served as a Cub Scout Leader and a 4-H Leader for several years and she was the neighborhood Mom, Her home was always open to all the neighborhood kids and her children’s friends. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, traveling, flowers and time with her family.

She is survived by her son: Rick Walls and his wife Doris, Hermiston, OR; daughter: Judy Culp and her husband Dennis, Hermiston, OR; sister: Edna Faye Snyder, Hermiston, OR; grandchildren: Kenny, Jackie, Stacey, Kimberly, Robbie & Keith; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Murt Walls; son, Ronnie Walls, her parents and a sister, Ila Mae Woodward.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
