I am extremely saddened by the passing of Stephen. He always made me smile. We always had a great time at scouts and it was great to reconnect with him when he was in high school. His thoughtful gifts were treasured and kept. You instilled so many wonderful character traits in him, thank you.
Sincerely, Liz Marvin

Mr.Smith I am so sorry for your loss and I''ll be praying for you and I''ll tell my family to pray for you. You probably don''t remember me but I was in your math class last year. Anyway I am truly sorry and I hope you feel better. I never knew Stephen but I bet he was a great guy and I wish I had the chance to meet him.

I was so sad to hear of the loss of your son! I have many memories of Stephen from his time at Sunset. He was a real thinker and always posed tough questions for me to ponder. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help anyone! I pray that the special memories you have of him will help you get through these tough days. You are in my prayers.

Belinda, how do I even begin to tell you how my heart aches for you at the news of your son''s passing. I never saw your son, but I know a mother''s love for her child and I am without adequate words to say how very sorry I am. You will be in my prayers that the pain you feel now can be eased.  Love, Eve (Trisha''s Mom)

To Bob and Belinda,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss.  Words fail me to properly express how I wish I could offer comfort at this time.  When I picture Stephen in my mind, it is always with that easy smile of his.  Stephen had a love of learning, a great sense of humor, and when you were around him, you couldn''t help but smile yourself.  You have my greatest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Susan Rodgers

Dear Smith family,
I so wish there were words that were helpful right now, but I know it isn't so.  At some point you will look back and feel some comfort in knowing so many people cared and prayed for you at this time.  I was touched by people  who would tell me of things they remembered about Zane.  So my memory for  you is of how your son made my husband smile.  Every time I was with Mike, and Stephen would stop and talk to him, Mike had a smile on his face.  And not a little smirk a full face smile.  He truly enjoyed your son.  That is what I will always remember and appreciate about Stephen.  I pray God gives you the strength to get through today.  One day at a time.  Sometimes one moment at a time.  That's the only way to get through this.
With the most sincere sympathy,
Laura Gaulke

Bob & Belinda,
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this tragic time. We are both so deeply saddened by the loss of your son. To be taken from you at such a young age makes our grief pale in comparison to the pain you are feeling, but we had to let you know that we are sharing your loss in our own way.

No one knows why bad things happen to those so innocent and whose life has hardly begun. For now it will have to remain the painful mystery that it is. Losses like this can make us challenge our faith; however, this is precisely the time when our faith needs to be its strongest.

I am praying that your faith will help you through this very difficult time and help you to know that God's purpose, whatever it may be, is at work. I pray that you will lean on Christ to help  you through your grief and sadness.

In thinking about your loss, I would like to leave you with the oft quoted words of an observer at Abraham Lincoln's deathbed who said upon his passing, "Now he belongs to the angels."

In Sincere Friendship,
John & Flo Lund

I am so sorry for this loss.  You are in my heart and prayers and thoughts at this very difficult time.  You can be proud of your son and grandson.  You obviously provided him with a nurturing, loving environment for him to be so talented, hard working and goal oriented.  Please know that I care.

My sympathy and prayers to your family at this time. I had Stephen in class on numerous occasions and I always enjoyed my encounters with him. He made me smile and made me think, much like his father. We never know why these things happen and even if we did, it might not ease the ache of loss.We are told that as one ship leaves the shore, those left behind wave their goodbyes and say "there he goes" while as the ship disappears from our view, there are those on a distant shore who are ready to say "Here he comes"  May the Lord provide you with strength and comfort in the days ahead.  Cathy
