Nancy Louise (Lindberg) Brown

Nancy Louise Brown was born on January 6, 1951 in Gold Beach, Oregon to parents, James and Peggy Burkett Lindberg. She died on April 19, 2015 at her home in Echo, Oregon at the age of 64 years. Nancy lived in Oregon, France, Georgia, Washington, Germany, Texas. She moved to Stanfield, Oregon in 1985 and later to Echo, Oregon in 1999 where she has lived since. Nancy worked at Lamb Weston for 13 years and then for the Simmons Agency in Hermiston, Oregon for a couple of years. She was a volunteer and committee member for Relay For Life, a member of A.C.S. CAN, member of Lung Cancer Alliance, Stanfield Moose Lodge, and one of the founding parents of STAND TALL. Nancy enjoyed crafts, tying flies, reading, making cards, and knitting.

She is survived by her children: Charles Ray Craig, Jr.; Jennifer & Jeff Johnson, Echo, OR, Valerie & Howard Califf, Umatilla, OR, Elizabeth & Steven Castillo, Umatilla, OR, Rachael Craig, Echo, OR; stepdaughter: Barbara Nagy, Centerville, WA; mother: Peggy Lindberg, Stanfield, OR; sisters: Roesealee Combs & her husband John, Hooks, TX, and Donna Lindberg, Port Orford, OR; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; uncle: Kenny Burkett, Irrigon, OR; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and many cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, 1st husband: Charles Craig, 2nd husband: Robert Brown, and stepson: Robert Brown Jr.

A celebration of life potluck gathering will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.at Nathan Bard Park, Stanfield, Oregon.

Those who wish may make contributions in Nancy’s memory to the Shriner’s Hospital or St. Judes Hospital.
