Maynard A Blum

Maynard A. Blum of Irrigon, Oregon, was born on February 17, 1939 in Tillamook, Oregon to parents, Floyd and Nina Birch Blum. He died on March 16, 2017 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 78 years. Maynard was raised in Sand Lake, Oregon and attended school in Cloverdale, Oregon. He served in the United States Navy from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1959. Maynard was united in marriage to Janet Gilley on March 31, 1962 in Tillamook, Oregon. He worked in logging until 1967 when he was injured and was forced to retire. Maynard enjoyed working on cars, hunting, clamming, and crabbing.

He is survived by his daughter Kim Benson and her husband Don, Irrigon, OR; brother: Forrest Blum, Sand Lake, OR; sister: Charlotte McCommon, Oregon City, OR; grandchildren: Erin, Nick, & Chris; great granddaughter: Brielle.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Janet Blum, his parents, son: Ty Blum, brother: Earl Blum, and a sister: Shirley Reding.

At his request there will be no service.
