Marlene Ann Winchester of Irrigon was born October 10, 1931 in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Baxter and Lorene (Gailey) Mills. She passed away in Hermiston on Thursday February 1, 2018 at the age of 86.
Marlene lived in Sulphur Springs throughout her childhood where she attended school and graduated from high school. She married Harold D. Winchester on December 23, 1950 in Gravette, Arkansas. In 1956, the couple moved to Nyssa, OR where they resided until 2000. They moved to Irrigon in 2000 to be closer to their family.
Marlene enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and doing crafts. She enjoyed volunteering at the Nyssa School District where she would read stories to the children. She attended Columbia View Community Church in Irrigon.
She was preceded in death by; a daughter, Carolyn Schilling; a son, Gary Winchester; a brother, Buddy Mills; and a sister, Marilyn Mills.
She is survived by her husband of Sixty-seven years, Harold; brother, Joe Mills; grandchildren, Marc Schilling, Lori Smith and Matt Schilling; and three great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 10, 2018 at Columbia View Community Church (1230 US-730 Irrigon,OR 97844)
