Marie "Pat" (Giblin) Earle

Marie Patricia “Pat” Earle, of Irrigon, Oregon, was born on October 15, 1943 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to parents, John and Muriel Giblin. She died on August 19, 2017 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 73 years. She was raised and attended schools in Maryland. Pat was united in marriage to William “Bill” Earle on October 23, 1965 in Silver Springs, Maryland. They moved to Corvallis, Oregon and Pat earned her bachelor degree in microbiology. In 1967, they settled in the Hermiston, Oregon area where they have lived since. Along with raising their 3 children, Pat tended to the farm and livestock and delivered farm fresh eggs to several area vendors. Pat worked at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Oregon from 1998 until retirement in 2009. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, traveling, gardening and flowers. Pat loved to make special gifts for her family and friends. She was one of the pioneers in establishing a chapter of the ARC in Eastern Oregon where she served as president and as an officer for many years. She was an active member of the Country Church, and had served on the Eastern Oregon Mental Health Board. Pat was very industrious with a unbelievable work ethic.
 
She is survived by her husband: Bill Earle, Irrigon, OR; daughter: Camille Earle, Milwaukie, OR; son: Clint Earle, Goleta, CA; sister: Jeanne Tester, Annapolis, MD; grandchildren: Luke, Annalise and Angelique.
 
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Annette, Earle.       
 
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Country Church, 32742 Diagonal Road, Hermiston, Oregon.
