Lucila "Lucy" (Leal Sanchez) Holguin

Lucila L. “Lucy” Holguin was born on January 17, 1968 in Mexico to parents, Andres Leal and Erminia Sanchez. She died on July 28, 2016 in home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 48 years. Lucy was raised and attended schools in Mexico City, Mexico. She married Oscar Holguin on September 2, 2006 in Hermiston, Oregon and has lived here since. Lucy worked in final finish at Marlette Homes in Hermiston, Oregon from 2007 until the time of her death. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston, Oregon. Lucy enjoyed time with her family and friends, music , shopping, yard sales, and was a hard worker.

She is survived by her husband: Oscar Holguin, Hermiston, OR; son: Jorge Vazquez Leal, Hermiston, OR; step sons: Oscar Holguin Jr., Heppner, OR, Hector Holguin, Hermiston, OR, Bryan Holguin, Hermiston, OR; step daughter: Denise Rivera, Phoenix, AZ; brothers: Ernesto Leal Sanchez, Hermiston, OR, Jorge Leal Sanchez, Tri Cities, WA; sister: Matilda Leal Sanchez, Hermiston, OR; 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents.  

Viewing will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston, Oregon.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
