I am so sorry Barbara, Diane, Marianne and family, and David for the loss of a truly good husband and father. Whenever I think of Louis, I remember him singing as the turtle in the First Christian Church children's musical years ago. His deep base voice and his gentle ways made it the perfect character for him to portray. He sang, "Have patience, have patience; don't be in such a hurry." I still hear his song almost everyday as I remind myself to enjoy life as I go. I pray Louis enjoyed his retirement. I know he loved his family and his wife dearly. A generous man, Louis will be remembered fondly. May the Lord comfort you, Barbara, in your grief. I will visit you soon. Diane Gettmann

I so rarely look at the paper anymore and then to learn of the passing of a friend. Not just any kind of friend but Louis you were the kind that would do anything to help someone in need. A mans man with quick wit and true intelligence that was always shared. I will miss you Louis, friend.

I am sorry to learn of your family loss. The passing of a love one is painful. You have my deepest sympathy. I'd like to share scripture that may bring comfort and hope.

1Thes. 4:13, 14 reads...Moreover, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who are sleeping in death. For we do not want you to sorrow as the rest do who have no hope. If we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

John 11:25 lets us know this...Jesus said to her: I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.

Daniel 12:2 also lets us know...And, many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some to everlasting life....

John 6:40 tells us why these words are faithful and true...For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life and I will resurrect him on the last day.

I sincerely want these scriptures to bring hope and help your family endure.
