Lorraine M (Smith) Oman

Lorraine M. Oman of Hermiston, Oregon was born on June 27, 1922 in Everett, Washington to parents, Charles and Anna Bishop Smith. She died on May 23, 2015 in Hood River, Oregon at the age of 92 years. Lorraine was raised, attended schools, and graduated high school in Everett, Washington. She was united in marriage to Floyd Andrew Oman on December 29, 1944 in Everett, Washington. They lived in Banks, Oregon and later Seaside, Oregon before settling in Hermiston, Oregon in 1951 where she has lived since. Lorraine enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts, gardening, and the outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter: Joanne Richardson, Hermiston, OR; 8 grandchildren: Anna, Jake, Angie, Aimee, Andy, Alex, Adam, & Abby; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd Oman, son: Roger Floyd Oman, and 3 sisters: Helen Ness, Margaret Braaten, and Fran Lambright.         

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.
