Joyce L (Richardson) DeMessemaker

Joyce L. DeMessemaker, of Hermiston, Oregon was born on December 6, 1926 in Pendleton, Oregon to parents, Ivan and Marguerite Lemert Richardson. She died on May 19, 2015 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 88 years. Joyce was raised and attended schools in Pendleton, Oregon. She later worked as a telephone operator in Pendleton before moving to Hermiston, Oregon. Joyce married William J. “Bill” DeMessemaker on May 4, 1951in Pendleton, Oregon. 

Joyce cherished gathering with family for the holidays. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, card parties, crossword puzzles, traveling, and visiting with friends.

She is survived by her daughters: Delores Bledsoe, Stanfield, OR, and Debbie Brandt, Hermiston, OR; sister: Phyllis Schuening, Helix, OR; grandchildren: Tonya, Angie, Bill, Curtis, & Don; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and her dog Lucie.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Bill DeMessemaker, son: Donald DeMessemaker, and her parents.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
