Dearest Uncle George your FAMILY loved you!! We all just learned of your passing yesterday. Your brother Gordon is heartbroken. You were the talk of your nieces and nephews always making sure we all had a good time. We learned from you your love of the piano, your military life, how to properly use a sling shot and how to conduct a real Easter egg hunt!!! I still have the Easter bunny you gave me in the 60's. We have many, many fond memories from the blinding sand storm in Horse Heaven to the family treasure hunts at the river. I could go on and on. I'm sorry we weren't available more than a time or two a year. We will pray for you and we'll be sure to pay our respects soon.
May you Rest In Peace
From Toni and the entire Welch Family

George mentioned the soup kitchen on our visits to Hermiston. He very much enjoyed that.

George was a sweet, sweet soul. It was a pleasure to have known him.
