Elathine "Ella" Alma (Parke) Marlow

Elathine A. “Ella” Marlow 83, went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2015 surrounded by her husband and children at her home in Hermiston, Oregon. She was born in Seattle, Washington to Guy and Alma Parke on January 26, 1932. Ella was raised for a time in California before settling in Umatilla, Oregon. She graduated from Umatilla High School in the class of 1950. Ella met Darrell “Vern” Marlow and they were united in marriage on October 24, 1951 in Hermiston, Oregon. They moved to Seattle, Washington where she earned her LPN Nursing License and practiced for 20 years. They returned to Hermiston, Oregon in 2010 where they have lived since.

Her faith was a very important part of her life. Ella was involved in various ministries in her church throughout the years. She was a member of Living Faith Church. Ella enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, and oil painting. 

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Darrell “Vern” Marlow, Hermiston, OR; son: David Marlow (Darlene), Snohomish, WA; daughters: Joan Reeves (Barry), Hermiston, OR, Natalie Journot, Hermiston; brothers: Richard Parke, Portland, OR, Dale Parke, Hermiston, OR, & George Parke, Cascade Locks, OR; sisters: Janice Brewer, Illinois, Marilyn Schiller, Echo, OR, & Nettie Lukovich, New York; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Bill, Guy, & Ira. 
  
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. at the Living Faith Church, 1611 Diagonal Road, Hermiston, OR 97838.
