Deanna R’Lene Seelye Hellinger was born July 16th, 1962 at Reno, Nevada to parents, Jack & Barbara (Ward) Meiring. She died Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 48.www.burnsmortuaryhermiston.com
She was raised in Yakima, Washington and moved to Hermiston in 1980, then to Moses Lake, Washington in 1990 and finally back to Hermiston in 1997. Deanna was a homemaker who enjoyed staying at home and raising her children. She later worked as a waitress at Roy & Venita’s Restaurant. On November 26th, 2004 she married Scott Henry Hellinger in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. She coached softball and loved all sports and she especially loved watching her boys play baseball. Deanna enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Her passion was her children and her grandchildren. She was a small lady with a big heart.
She is survived by husband, Scott Hellinger of Umatilla, OR; Father, Jack Meiring of Carson City, NV; Sons, Brian Seelye, Chad Seelye and Brian Hellinger all of Hermiston, OR; Daughters, Christina Schaan of Hermiston, OR, and Hollie Hellinger of Kennewick, WA; Brother, John Meiring of Reno, NV; 4 Grandchildren, Carly Schaan, Cameron Schaan, Gavin Hellinger, and Jimmy Hellinger; 2 Uncles, Herb & Benjamin Ward.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Barbara Krusow; Grandma, Muriel (Lumpkin) Ward; Sister, Sheri Meiring; Uncle, Frank Ward.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Disposition was by cremation. Private family inurnment will take place at the Hermiston Cemetery at a later date.
