Darcy D Tesch

Darcy D. Tesch, 63, of Umatilla, passed away on Monday, June 12, of complications related to his long battle with cancer. 
 
Darcy was born April 4, 1954 in Fort Ord, CA. His family moved several times before settling in Las Vegas, NV where he spent his formative years. He moved to Hermiston in 1976, shortly thereafter meeting his wife of forty years, Deborah Thueson. They were married on August 13, 1977 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they lived in Umatilla for the majority of those forty years, raising four wonderful children. 
 
Darcy provided well for his family working as a machinist and later as a long-haul truck driver.
 
Darcy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, boating, waterskiing, riding motorcycles, tinkering on projects, and traveling. He also enjoyed his daily dose of ice cream.
 
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Arthur and Daryl Tesch; and a sister, Joy.
 
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; sons, Jared of Pendleton, Brian and Kevin both of West Pueblo, CO; daughter, Taunya Daniel of Hermiston; brother, Ben Tesch of Omaha, NE; three sisters, Nancy Perl of Orem, UT, Joan Fisler of San Diego, CA and Gerie Tesch of Las Vegas, NV; and twelve grandchildren.
 
Viewing will be held in the Relief Society Room at the Umatilla LDS Church Building (15 Grant St.) from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 19.
 
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 19 in the chapel of the Umatilla LDS Church Building. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Umatilla.
