Dan Rutherford

Aubrey Daniel “Dan” Rutherford was born January 8, 1941 at Homerville, Georgia to parents, James Aubrey & Pauline (Booth) Rutherford. He died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington at the age of 75.
Dan was raised in Albany, Georgia. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS De Haven. On February 8, 1962 he married Myra Ackley in Hillsboro, Oregon. They later divorced. Dan  moved to Hermiston in the 1970's. He worked as a Farrier after learning the trade from Oregon State University. Dan was a Champion Team Roper. He was a former member of the Umatilla Sage Riders. He loved to Cowboy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Francis.

He is survived by brother, Tom Rutherford of Albany, GA; sisters, Janice Johnson of Albany, GA and Doris Champion of Augusta, GA.

A Memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston, Oregon.
