Craig Edward Gorham 
October 12th, 1951 - July 16th, 2016

Craig Edward Gorham of Hermiston, formerly of Pendleton, passed away Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at the age of 64. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18th at McKenzie Park in Hermiston, Oregon with burial to follow at the Cove Cemetery, Cove, Oregon.

Craig was born October 12th, 1951 to Paul Edward Gorham and Lois Aloha Gorham in Cove, Oregon.

Craig graduated from Pendleton High School in 1970 and is a Pendleton Football Hall of Fame member. After high school he earned his Master's Degree in Education from Eastern Oregon State College in 1975.  While in college he was captain of his wrestling team and earned outstanding wrestler of the year in 1972.

Mr. Gorham was a favored teacher and taught Science in both Stanfield and Hermiston for 13 years, coached high school football and wrestling, little league softball, and hunters safety before retiring in 1990.

Craig was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and broke the state record with the 2nd largest Elk in Oregon. He was also former president of the Northeast Bow Hunters Association.  

Craig is a Third Degree member of Masonic Lodge #138 of Hermiston, a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge #91 of Cove and member of Hermiston Desert Shrine Club.

On August 4th, 2001 he married Karen Elizabeth Altizer at McKenzie Park in Hermiston, Oregon.

Survivors include his wife Karen Gorham, twin-brother Greg Ernest Gorham, sister Paula Aloha Gorham, daughters Jennifer Aloha Gorham, Melinda Leigh Gorham-Rodrigues, Karen Cross Freel, son Raymond C. Freel, nephew Corey Gorham; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by father Paul Gorham, mother Aloha Gorham, and niece Stacy Gorham.

Craig was a teacher at school, home and in life. He always shared his knowledge, big heart and humor. He touched a lot of lives and will be truly missed.
