Welcome to the memorial page for

Christopher C. Rohrman

May 2, 1964 ~ May 6, 2015 (age 51) 51 Years Old

Christopher (Chris) Charles Rohrman passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 while working in Denver, Colorado. He was 51 years old.
Chris was born to Charles and Angela Rohrman in Hermiston, Oregon on May 2, 1964. After graduating from Hermiston High School in 1983, he attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington and Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Shakespearean Literature.
A gifted artist, Chris’ talents were most often expressed in photographs and wood. He was a published photographer and was recently named a finalist in a photo contest sponsored by Nikon. He was also a fine craftsman who turned his love of carpentry into a career -- traveling to many places across the country to do work, including Florida, Washington DC, New York, Kentucky, Colorado, Texas, Washington and Oregon. No matter where his job took him, he established great friendships and never missed a chance to take photos along the way.
He was known to all for his unending generosity, and had the amazing ability to show up exactly where he was most needed. He always had time for everyone, to do a favor, go for ice cream, fix a door, or teach kids how to make a survival bracelet or a pin camera. He was so many things to so many people -- a carpenter, an artist, a photographer, a devoted son, a great big brother, a really fun uncle, a loyal friend, and a loving adopted father.
He was not defined by what he did, but instead by his quick wit, his tremendous insight, and his incredible attention to detail. He was brilliant, funny, whimsical, kind, quirky, thoughtful, caring, generous, free-spirited, helpful, creative, altruistic, gentle, affable, endearing, charming, and always interesting. In a nutshell, a uniquely beautiful human being.
Chris is survived by his mother Angela Jo Kelly Rohrman of Hermiston; sister Mary Ozkan (Levent) of The Woodlands, Texas; brothers David (Mary Leigh), Tom (Shanan) and Joe of Hermiston; adopted daughters Maia Scott and Mei O’Neil of Denver, Colorado and seven nieces and nephews -- Jordyn, Michaela, Ansley, Tyler, Kalliyann, Helen and Damien -- as well all the families across the country that considered him part of theirs.
He is preceded in death by his father, A. Charles Rohrman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Photographic Center Northwest in care of Burns Mortuary.
A rosary will be said on Thursday, May 14th at 7pm at Burns Mortuary in Hermiston Oregon.  His life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 16th at a 1pm Mass service at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston followed by the burial at the cemetery.
