Charles Ray Bohanan

Charles Ray Bohanan was born on December 26, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee to parents, Gethard and Wilsie Bohanan. He went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2016 at his home in Irrigon, Oregon at the age of 89 years. Chuck was united in marriage to Margrett Dunson in 1950. He worked for the railroad and later the Forest Service. Chuck was an avid golfer and after losing a large part of his eyesight, he still had a better golf score than most of his golfing buddies. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and in his later years spent time with his youngest daughter and son-in-law on the boat fishing. He always looked forward to their special time together. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife: Margrett Bohanan; children: Randy Bohanan & his wife Marilyn, Judith Logan & husband Ed, Kim Rohrbach & husband Mike, and daughter-in-law: Barb Bohanan; sister: Naoma Ellingwood; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ronny Bohanan   

A celebration of life service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Family Worship Center, 330 NE 8th St., Irrigon, Oregon 97844.
