Bob Lewis

Robert Clyde "Bob" Lewis was born March 3, 1928 at Cardin, Oklahoma to parents, Simeon Beauford & Estelle (Bradley) Lewis. He went home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at his home in Umatilla, Oregon at the age of 84.

Bob served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II & as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He married Jacquelyn Mary Funderburg on June 14, 1949 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He retired from the Umatilla Army Depot as an Environmental Compliance Officer in 1988. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jackie Funderburg Lewis of Umatilla, OR; Daughter, Sheryl Poitras of Umatilla, OR; Sons, Robert Clyde Lewis Jr. Of Umatilla, OR and Patrick Allen Lewis of Great Falls, MT; Sister, Dorothy Bobinski of Grants Pass, OR; 10 Grandchildren; 24 Great-grandchildren; 2 Great-great-grandsons; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Simeon & Estelle Lewis; Brother, Simeon "Hap" Lewis Jr.; 3 Sisters, Olga Jo Smith, June Inez Mueller, and Deane Daphne Long.

At his request, there will be no services held. Disposition was by cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
